Minecraft 1.2.5 Released
Following very closely on the heels of their 1.2.4 release, Mojang AB has released v1.2.5 of their popular Minecraft game. This release contains fixes for known bugs and UI upgrades and works with v1.2.4 servers so upgrades are not an issue in SMP. The list of major changes is below:
UI Changes
- Add shift-click support for furnaces
- upgrade to more recent LWJGL
- add method to easily acquire blocks you have selected in creative mode using the 'pick block' key
- make direct connect remember the last ip for the current session
Playability Changes
- Made cats less eager to sit on things
- made cats less patient
- made using a stack of bowls on mooshrooms not consume the whole stack of bowls
- made punching a TNT block with flint and steel in hand destroy and drop a TNT block (right-clicking will still activate the TNT)
Bug Fixes
- fixed issues with certain links in chat
- fixed wild ocelots behaving like tamed cats
- fixed various chat related crashes
- fixed world generation failing under certain circumstances
- fixed issues turning off sound under certain circumstances
- fixed slash '/' key not behaving correctly in certain circumstances
- fixed command matching being too greedy (for example: typing '/stophammertime' no longer stops your server)
- fixed not being able to click coloured links
- fixed potential issue with village door detection (which could cause too many villagers)

Bukkit 1.2.4-R1.0 released
The first Recommended Build of Craftbukkit for Minecraft 1.2 was released this evening. With this release, Bukkit has finally created a reference version of their server software that developers can use to finish any loose ends in their plugins and perform an official release. As plugins EverythingMinecraft uses are released I will add them to this article.

Minecraft 1.2.4 Released
As of 17:08 CST, EverythingMinecraft has been updated to the newest CraftBukkit, which is 1.2.4 compatible.
Bukkit has not upgraded to 1.2.4 yet, if you perform this upgrade you will not be able to connect to any bukkit servers, including EverythingMinecraft
Mojang AB has released their newest version of Minecraft, version 1.2.4. This version of Minecraft includes the following improvements:
- Chat history and much better chat editing
- New decoration blocks
- Made cats behave more realistically
- Make placing of half blocks on half blocks (to make full blocks) easier
In addtion there were many bug fixes
